Criminal Litigation
Erin has spent the majority of her more than 15 years practicing law litigation criminal cases in every level of the state and federal courts. For nearly 10 years Erin has been a member of the Criminal Justice Act panel, a selective panel that is appointed to represent federal defendants who cannot afford to hire their own attorneys. Erin also has extensive experience litigating white collar cases.
Representative criminal litigation matters include:
- Trying multiple high-profile white collar cases.
- Negotiating favorable charges before an indictment is filed.
- Obtaining a sentence of time-served for a client who was facing 130 months following litigation over whether the government obtained attorney-client phone calls and videos of attorney-client meetings. The offer of time-served came following the filing of a motion to show cause why the government should not be held in contempt of court.
- Securing a pre-trial dismissal in a large high profile federal contraband cigarette trafficking case following the filing of a motion to dismiss based on void for vagueness.
- Securing a pre-trial dismissal in a high-profile state white collar case in which a corporation was charged with manslaughter.
