
Employment Dispute and Internal Investigations
Erin has experience advising and representing organizations in sensitive employment matters. Erin assists clients with a wide range of matters involving pending or potential litigation and development and implementation of policies to create a fair and unbiased workplace.
Erin served as general counsel for a government agency with three offices and approximately 45 employees. In that role, she advised the agency on hiring and firing decisions, implemented the move to complete remote work during the COVID-19 global pandemic and advised on vaccination policies during the same.
Erin has experience in all aspects of the investigations and crisis management process, including: conducting internal investigations; developing internal and external communications strategies; reviewing compliance structures to identify areas of risk; and reworking policies and procedures for clients.
Representative employment dispute and internal investigations matters include:
- Conducting internal investigations of discrimination and hostile work environment allegations at private businesses and government agencies.
- Representing a private business in an internal investigation regarding disregard for professional standards and state regulations.
- Advising small businesses on development and implementation of hiring policies to comply with employment law.
- Advising a private business during a state investigation of violations of standard regulations and representing the company during the regulatory action.
